QUADRANGLE

Camp Mac is located on the shores of two beautiful lakes, 1,000 feet above sea level inside the 217,000-acre Talladega National Forest. The facilities are more than adequate for 242 campers and 65 staff each term. They include 16 wood-paneled, insulated cabins with 19,517 square feet of living space—an average of 67 square feet per person. All beds are built in with storage compartments underneath, eliminating the need for footlockers. No double-decker beds are used. Each cabin has an attic fan and ceiling fans for cooling and a private Senior Counselor’s Room.

The News From Camp section of our website is written, produced and uploaded via satellite each day during the summer right here at camp by our own staff. Pictures are taken and news is gathered and written on a daily basis. This is our way of sharing a little bit of what goes on here with camp parents, former campers and counselors and other members of our Camp Mac Family who, using their password, join us “Among the Pines” each day! In fact, so many people enjoy keeping up with what’s happening at camp that www.campmac.com averages well over 2,000 visits per day all summer long!
