SHOOTING SPORTS AND FIREARM SAFETY

The Alabama Department of Conservation certifies our instructors who teach 7th- and 8th-grade boys and girls the fundamentals of Shooting Sports and Firearm Safety. Campers learn about game laws, sportsmanship and how to safely handle and fire rifles and shotguns at different types of targets. The course concludes with an afternoon of shooting skeet on the skeet range! In Alabama, and in most other states, this course is mandatory for anyone wishing to obtain a hunting license.
