The hills provide a natural bowl shape for our amphitheater, which seats over 300 people in a beautiful, natural setting. The focal point of the gently curved white benches is a stage with a backdrop of green mountain foliage. Campers respect the line of silence as they enter this area of worship each day at twilight for Vespers and on Sunday mornings for devotional services.
Each devotional delivers an interdenominational message, and attendance is required for campers and staff. We believe camp, a step away from the man-made world and a step closer to the world that God created, offers a unique environment conducive to spiritual growth. Camp Macs primary goal of helping young people become mature, caring adults is based on Judeao-Christian principles, and having both staff and campers participate in leading our worship services is an important part of our camp familys growing and sharing.
Daily Bible Reading Ribbons are awarded to those who read their own Bible every day while at camp.
