FIELD TRIPS

Campers have the opportunity, at no extra expense, to visit nearby points of interest such as Salt Creek Falls and High Falls. Special field trips during the 4 Week Terms are offered to the older campers, also at no additional charge. 7th-grade campers take a pontoon boat cruise on nearby Logan Martin Lake, and 8th graders go there for a cruise and ski trip! The Rough Rider horseback group takes an all-day horseback trip into the Talladega National Forest. 8th-grade campers who qualify can rappel off a 100-foot cliff at Rock Gardens on Cheaha Mountain, the first mountain in the Appalachians and the highest point in Alabama!
