Camp Mac Stimulus Plan

Thanks to the generosity and support of our camp parents and staff, we were able to offer 14 partial scholarships in 2009 to campers who were recommended by those who made donations to our scholarship program. Those children would not have been able to attend camp this summer without that assistance, and we are happy to have been able to make a difference in the lives of those children and their families.

Although we were pleased to be able to help, the scholarship plan was never intended to be a long-term program. So, after studying the responses to the surveys we sent to our camp parents last spring and during the summer, we'll be offering a 3 Week Session within our 2nd 4 Week Term - and we've developed our own "Camp Mac Stimulus Plan" in an effort to help our camp families cope with the challenges they tell us they're facing during these tough economic times:

  • We'll hold our 2010 rates at the same level they've been for the past 3 years.
  • We'll be offering "loyalty discounts" of $100 per year for each year a camper has attended Camp Mac prior to 2010 and is registered before December 31, 2009.
  • When more than one child from the same family attends Camp Mac during the same summer, each child receives a 5% discount off of the total camp fee.
