Tuition and Fees
Past and present camp parents tell us that that a summer at Camp Mac is the best investment they ever made in their children.
Summer camp fee structures vary as much the camps that set them. At Camp Mac, we believe that every child here should have the same opportunities as every other camper his or her age. So we don't have extra fees for certain activities – or for anything else. When our camp parents drive up to their campers' cabins on Check-Out Day, they pick up their children, not a bill.
There's no additional fee for Horseback Riding, Water Skiing, Riflery ammunition, field trips, or Crafts projects. There's no spending money account for drinks and snacks, and there's no charge for a Camp Mac t-shirt to wear on Sundays. We don't charge for emails to campers, and we don't even make t-shirts, caps, camp chairs, etc. available for campers to purchase except on Check-In and Check-Out Days when they have parental supervision. There's no charge for laundry service, and as little boy one camper excitedly wrote his mom a few years ago, "The food is great here! And, best of all, it's free!"
During the course of the summer, we give away a variety of t-shirts and other Camp Mac apparel as awards or as recognition of the number of years a child has been part of our family. We give away window decals and bumper stickers, and even the items we do sell are priced at our cost. We're not in the retail apparel business, we're a children's summer camp – and the more people out there who proudly wear our name on their backs, the better we like it!

2012 CAMP FEE...ALL INCLUSIVE
On Check-Out Day, parents pick up their children, not a bill!
Camp parents should know up front what the cost of their child's camp experience will be. For this reason, many years ago we instituted our "all inclusive" pricing policy. Therefore, spending money is not allowed, nor needed.
Unlike many camps, Camp Mac's camp fee includes the following:

Jr. Term: $1975 per child
1st Sr. Term: $3300 per child
2nd Sr. Term: $3100 per child
Intermediate Sessions: $2850 per child

Discount:
"Loyalty Discount" of $100 per year a camper has attended Camp Mac will apply to campers who register on or before October 1st, 2011. After October 1st, 2011, the "Loyalty Discount" will be reduced to $50 per year attended and will expire on December 1, 2010.
When more than one child from the same family attends Camp Mac during the same summer, each child receives a 5% discount off of the total camp fee.
Laundry:
Commercial laundry service is included in the camp fee, along with one mesh Camp Mac laundry bag. Laundry goes out once a week and is returned the next day.
Payments:
Payments may be made by check or online with credit card, please call 256.362.7449 if you need assistance.
Registration Fee:
$400 - Applies toward camp fee. Campers will not be enrolled without a completed application and the Registration Fee.
First Payment:
Due Feb. 1st
Jr. Term: $800 confirmation fee per child
Sr. Terms & Intermediate Sessions: $1500 confirmation fee per child
Statements will be sent mid-February.
Final Payment:
Due May 1st
"Loyalty Discount" and/or "Same Family Discount" will be deducted from final payment.
Waiting Lists:
(When applicant cannot be registered due to term requested being full)
No fee required...only an application. Applicant will be phoned if an opening occurs.
Cancellations & Refunds:
•Cancellation before January 1st: Half of Registration Fee refunded. - $200
•Cancellation after January 1st: Registration Fee is non-refundable for any reason.
(See exception below)
•Cancellation after March 1st: Half of all fees paid (with exception of Registration Fee) are refunded.
•OR, may apply all of paid fees (with exception of Registration Fee) to same child toward Camp Mac fees the following summer only.
•Non-refundable fees may not be transferred to another camper, even in the same family.
Exception:
•Should accident or illness prevent camper from entering or remaining in camp, loss of all fees paid, including Registration Fee, will be shared equally - physician's statement required.
•OR, may apply loss of all fees paid to same child toward Camp Mac fees the following summer only.
