Ever wish there was a place somewhere that you could go and just play with your friends all day long?

No school, no homework, no after-school programs. No rushing to school to practice to lessons to study to bed and then back to school. No running all over the place all weekend long and then hurrying off to school again on Monday morning.

Ever wish there was a place where every day is even better than a fun Saturday with just you and your friends?

Well, you can stop wishing! There is a place like that! It’s called summer camp! And it’s just for kids!

No teachers, no parents, no coaches or tutors. At Camp Mac, it’s you, your counselors, a whole bunch of other campers and over 100 different really cool things for you to do – from A to Z (Archery to Zip Lines)! And you’ll do a bunch of those things every single day! You can click on our video and see which ones look like the most fun to you!

LEARN

You can learn to ride a wakeboard or lope a horse through the woods or drive a ski boat or rappel down a cliff or climb a mountain! You can build things, do things, see things, tell things, hear things and laugh at things! At summer camp you can experience things you’d never be able to experience at home! You can swim at waterfalls, ride mountain bikes in the forest, play cow soccer (on a horse - with real cows!), spend the night in the woods under the stars, build a campfire, jump 30 feet high on the bungee tramp, get “Blobbed” way up in the air and into the lake or slide down a ginormous waterslide.

At Camp Mac, we believe that good things take time. Our sessions are longer because there’s no way we could ever get everything done in just a week or so! Even in a fast food, disposable, get it here yesterday world – we know that the things that mean the most to us are the things we’ve worked the longest and hardest for. Our campers earn over 2000 awards each 4Week Term – but none are given for just showing up or being on the team, they’re earned. There are boxes in drawers all over the country filled with awards earned last summer -or 60 summers ago - here at Camp Mac.

GROW

Younger kids come to camp for two weeks just to see what it’s like. Older kids stay for four weeks so they can learn to do things, make friends, make their own decisions, and gain the independence and self-confidence they’ll need to go off to college one day and then out into a happy and successful life of their own.

Camp friends and camp memories and lessons learned at camp last a lifetime. And parents tell us that a summer at camp is the best gift they’ve ever given their child.

Jonas Salk once said that good parents give their children two things: Roots and Wings. Roots to know where home is, wings to fly away and exercise what's been taught them.

Wings can’t grow in the nest. Summer camp lets children be children, but it also lets them strengthen their wings in a safe and loving environment so that when they’re old enough to fly out into the world on their own, they’ll be excited - not nervous or scared. Because they spent their summers at camp. And they already know how to fly.

With the benefit of three generations of experience, we have developed a unique camp program that is both fun and challenging. We are committed to camping and, for 61 years the McBride family has seen what a quality camping experience can do for young people.

It is our desire to make this experience available to boys and girls who are also committed to camping and who are excited about the opportunities Camp Mac has to offer.
