Our Sr. Staff are college age counselors that teach activities and live in the cabins with the campers.

SAFARI STAFF:
Our Safari Maintenance Staff is made up of guys at least 16 years old, they live in a cabin together, and are responsible for maintaining the grounds and upkeep of Camp Mac.

Camp Mac Staff Request Information
- Camp Mac is an alcohol and drug free environment. Our program staff participates in a random drug test program.
- Camp Mac maintains a camper to staff ratio of approximately 5 to 1.
- In our 2009 camp season, our 101 program staff had 733 years of Camp Mac
experience. Our 34 adult staff members averaged 37 years of age.
- In each of our terms, our staff includes 10 Adult Directors, 19 Senior College-age
Counselors, 18 Junior Counselors, in addition to 16 Counselors-In-Training, 1 Registered Nurse, 1 Nurse's Assistant, 3 Office Managers and 1 Webmaster.
Directors:
In order to provide Camp Mac's campers and our high school and college-age staff with the guidance and attention they need and deserve, our staff is lead by our 14 directors. These college-educated professionals have a combined total of over 350 years of experience as campers and counselors here at Camp Mac, and each has specialties and responsibilities in different areas of our program. Eight of them are on our year-round staff and live on the camp grounds. All of them live, eat, work and play with our campers and staff each summer, and provide the younger members of our summer family with a more mature perspective on the ups and downs of life at camp - and life after camp.
Meet The Camp Mac Directors
SENIOR COUNSELORS:
In addition to instructing major activities, 16 of our Senior Counselors live in a cabin with a JC, CIT, and 12 to 16 campers. Senior Counselors must have completed one or more years of college and are selected for their experience with children in recreation and camping. Many Senior Counselors are former campers and counselors who have been with us for 10 summers or more.

JUNIOR COUNSELORS:
Having completed the 10th, 11th or 12th grade, our JCs are carefully selected from our CIT program for their leadership, dependability, attitude and interaction with others. They must also be qualified to assist in the instruction of a major activity.

COUNSELORS-IN-TRAINING:
In order to develop qualified staff, Camp Mac conducts a Counselor Training program which is limited to 8 boys and 8 girls each term. CITs must have completed the 9th grade and are evaluated during their last summer as campers by our Senior Staff based on leadership, dependability, interaction with others and attitude.
