WORK EXPERIENCE

Since children are at camp 24 hours a day/7 days a week, Camp Mac must be responsible for them 24/7. Sr. Counselors are the adult staff members who are entrusted with the safety and security of each camper by the camper's parents as well as Camp Mac. Not only does this mean that Sr. Counselors must be reliable and mature enough to be at the right places at the right times whether on or off duty, it also means that time away from camp is normally limited to one night off each week.

Explain why you think you would be a good role model for your campers.

Why do you want to work at a summer camp for children? AND What contribution do you think you could make to Camp Mac this summer?

At Camp Mac, camp is for the campers. How do you feel about placing your campers first, ahead of your own interests?

Summer can be hot, kids can be noisy, and there isn't a pizza parlor or movie theatre just around the corner. Explain how you would adjust to being around kids 24/7 in the isolation of a national forest.

Understanding that people who work with and around children are held to a higher standard in regards to their online presence (content posted online in any public form, ex. Facebook, MySpace, etc.) Camp Mac may ask to view your profiles as they may appear to any parent or camper searching for you on the web.

Why do you feel your online presence represents the values that most parents would expect from a counselor who is responsible for being a role model for their child? AND What steps are you willing to take to protect your reputation and the reputation of Camp Mac.
